A Digital Adventure Awaits at Imo Digital City...

It’s the long holiday season in August, and while some kids are glued to cartoons or endless TikToks, something exciting is happening just down the road — at 23 Egbu Road, Owerri to be exact.

A group of curious young minds, aged 9 to 16, are stepping into a new world — not a video game, not a fantasy book — but a real-life digital adventure. This is the Imo Digital City Summer/Holiday Tech Bootcamp 2025.

From the moment they walk through our doors, they’re not just “children” anymore — they become Digital Explorers. Over three inspiring weeks, we guide them through the very foundations of the digital world.

Week 1: Getting Comfortable with Computers

Meet Ada, 10 years old, who's never touched a real keyboard before. By Friday, she's formatting documents in Word and organizing files like a mini IT support officer. She's proud, and so are we.

Week 2: Build, Play, Learn – All with Code

Next, our explorers dive into Scratch — a fun, colorful way to learn programming. They start building animations, interactive stories, even mini games. Suddenly, the kids who used to only play games are now creating them.

You should’ve seen the look on Chidi’s face when his first game character jumped after clicking spacebar — “I made that happen!” he shouted. That’s what we live for.

Week 3: Hello, AI – Meet Your New Friend

Now we introduce them to something that’s changing the world: Artificial Intelligence. They don’t just learn what AI is — they learn how to speak to it, prompt it, ask it questions, and use it for creative writing, idea generation, and more.

At just 13, Ifeoma is already writing prompts that spark stories, solve problems, and generate business ideas. She asks, “Can I teach my mum how to use this too?” Yes, sweetheart. Yes, you can.

Graduation Day: Proud, Bright, and Ready for the Future

On the final day, our bootcampers receive certificates — not just paper, but proof of confidence, curiosity, and creativity. Parents smile. Kids beam. Phones are out. It’s a celebration of growth, of possibility.

And most importantly, it’s just the beginning.
